Sammy was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on March 22, 2017 and is currently in the middle of an aggressive chemotherapy regiment at Lurie Children’s.
Sammy is a special little boy who was born on Valentines Day. He was diagnosed with an Ectopic Kidney at 14 weeks; it is a birth defect in which a kidney is located in an abnormal position. On March 22, 2017 Sammy was diagnose with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).
He is such a strong little boy; Sammy loves to play with dinosaurs and learned all of their names at a very young age. Also, he likes Spider-Man, so much so that all of his socks and undies MUST HAVE A SPIDER-MAN on THEM! He thinks they bring him super powers, and he is always sure to bring his Spider-Man blanket to every clinic apt. Sammy loves pepperoni pizza and picking up his big sister Melanie from school when he is home. Thank you for your interest in Sammy – he is an incredible inspiration to us!
